Programme overview

This annual two day course is designed for registered nurses who are developing or refining their skin surgery skills to support delivery of clinical services or research studies in a dermatology setting.

Theory sessions delivered by our expert team will include; histopathology, using local anaesthetic, surgical anatomy, medico-legal considerations, skin surgery assessment, planning and preparation.

The practical sessions will introduce a range of skin surgery techniques, suturing and post-operative wound care.

Places are limited to 20 and are allocated on a first come, first served basis. We keep the numbers small so we can provide high quality small group teaching in our practical sessions.
